If you are looking for truly beautiful, environmentally friendly gifts, home wares and accessories, you can’t go past The Dharma Door. Apart from supplying exquisite handcrafted products, we wholeheartedly support Fair Trade, with our range created by artisans in developing countries such as India, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, South Africa and Bangladesh.

Fair Trade ensures that these talented people are paid consistently fair wages which allows them the opportunity to educate their children, access healthcare and give back to their own communities. We believe there is simply no other way to do business!

Our aim is to provide products with integrity and collections that are truly unique. We wholesale and distribute our full range to retail stores in Australia and welcome new enquiries. We also sell our products online, but encourage people to view our list of stockists before taking this step.

While we do select items that are traditional to each region, we are actively involved in assisting artisans design items that are marketable in Australia. These artisans create their works using an array of cotton, silk, wool, natural dyes, jute, bamboo, recycled rubber and plastic and the end results are truly remarkable.

The Dharma Door has recently taken a new direction in the products we source, and aim to focus mainly on eco-friendly items either produced with natural sustainable materials or recycled materials, as using these materials enables the artisans to take care of their local and the global environment.

This exciting new collection features coiled recycled poster bowls, eco-friendly natural throws, hand printed journals, raw silk and recycled book bags, recycled newspaper coasters and daisy garlands, jute shopping bags and baskets and recycled rubber door mats.

We are proud to be QLD distributors for Earth Greetings, Cocolo chocolate, Universal Village and Hampstead teas.

The Dharma Door is a member of the Fair Trade Association of Australia and NZ and Shannon (Director) is the State Co-ordinator of the Queensland Fair Trade Collective.
